“Scouting for Food” is our nation’s largest single-day food drive. It began as a Boy Scout’s service project in St. Louis in 1985 and was adopted nationally in 1988 by the BSA with the goal to help feed the local community. On Scout Sunday (2/5), our Boy Scout Troop 446, Cub Scout Pack 446, and Girl Troop 247 will join together in helping collect food for “BackPack Friends”.
In February, we are collecting chicken noodle and tomato soups. You may also bring other items which are collected during the school months: pudding cups, apple sauce cups, beef ravioli, pop tarts, and individual servings of oatmeal, cereal, mac & cheese, and tuna.
If you’d prefer to make a donation, checks can be made to CCPC with BackPack Friends noted in the memo. Thank you for your help in reducing hunger by participating in “Scouting for Food” by giving to BackPack Friends.
